In today's article, we will try to talk about what techniques can be used to improve ventilation and reduce the noise level even in the simplest and most inexpensive package.

When thinking about the experimental specimen, our choice fell on CHENBRO Xpider II as its low price and very stylish appearance attract a considerable number of computer enthusiasts. However, the cooling efficiency of the components installed inside it is not very high and doesn’t add to the appearance.

What we will need  to finalize it?

First, it is aluminum slats or corner. You can buy them in any building or hardware store. In our case, we did even more economically - we used a sled from a broken sliding shelf under the keyboard. In the economy, as they say, everything is useful.

The second is a plastic or metal mesh from the speakers. Technically, it is not much needed, but if the appearance of your body is important to you, then you should take the choice of this detail seriously - it will be visible to everyone.

In addition to the primary parts, we will need the following tools:

  • 2 screwdrivers - slotted (flat) and figure (cross);
  • electric or hand drill;
  • hacksaw;
  • file and sandpaper;
  • pliers and pliers;
  • some rubber from an old car chamber;
  • glue, double-sided tape.

Let's get started

The first reception is the easiest and most accessible to everyone. This is a decrease in local hydraulic resistances of the hull or, in Russian, an improvement in the hull flowability. Now we will try to explain what is behind such clever phrases.

You, probably, noticed such technical characteristics as “air flow” and “static pressure” in reviews of fans and coolers. And they denote the following:

    air flow - the amount of air that a fan can supply per unit of time;

    static pressure is the force with which a fan pushes this very air.

From these definitions it can be concluded that even if the fan creates a huge air flow, but to have a small static pressure, its efficiency will be almost zero, since the air supplied will have too little power to overcome the resistance in the form of wires or gratings. Here we come to the main problem - it is stamped grilles on the holes for the installation of fans.

Yes, it is the stamped grilles that create the main resistance in the path of air movement. If you take a ruler and measure the width of the steel strip, then you will find that it is 0.15-0.30 in relation to the gap between them. Therefore, in total, these strips overlap from 15 to 30% of the area of the hole reserved for ventilation. But, usually, the strips are used not only horizontal, but also vertical, which in total gives from 25 to 40% of the overlap of the vent. Hence the conclusion that this grille reduces the efficiency of the fan installed behind it. In addition, the stamped grille, in contrast to the grill, has flat sharp edges, which creates additional noise during air movement.

How to deal with this problem? It's very simple - we take the wire cutters and “take a bite” on the grill. Next, for security reasons, we process the file with cuts.

We get approximately this result. Now the installed fan can “scoop” the air freely across the entire diameter of the impeller.

We do the same with the rear grille. Pay attention to the method of fastening the fan to the case - the best method is conventional screws with nuts. But to reduce vibration and, consequently, reduce noise, we recommend using small rectangular rubber gaskets cut from the old chamber.

The next step to improve ventilation will be the installation of an additional fan.

Since there is a very beautiful window on the side cover, we decided not to spoil its appearance by installing an additional fan on the side. So we had to install it in front.

We carefully remove the metal plugs of the 5.25 "compartments (as well as their plastic counterparts on the front panel) and set them aside - they will still be useful.

So, on the front panel, we have a significant space for maneuvers. We leave the upper compartment unchanged - a DVD drive will be installed there. But under it we will install an additional 120 mm fan.

To install it, we need to cut with metal nippers from one of the seemingly unnecessary plugs for the 5.25 ”compartment.

We fasten the ears to the fan with ordinary cogs with gadgets.

And through the second hole in the ear, fasten the fan to the second from the top 5.25 ”compartment. There is no need for rubber gaskets, since the fan is actually suspended on springs and its vibration will not be transmitted to the case.

It is worth noting that this arrangement of the fans in the case is most effective if the processor uses a tower-type cooler, such as the Noctua NH-U12P. In such a situation, the cooler on the processor will pick up cold air from the front fan and deliver heated to the rear. Some kind of turbine is formed or, as people say, a draft.

Note that when a horizontal type cooler is installed on the processor, such as the Noctua NH-C12P, it will be most appropriate to install an additional fan on the side cover of the case (although this is problematic in our case) so that it will inject cold air This is made in AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T.

One of the drawbacks of this case is its small height. At first glance, this is unnoticed. However, when installing a massive cooler, for example, when we installed the Noctua NH-U12P, it became noticeable that the cooling system of the processor approached the bottom ventilation hole of the power supply unit and blocked it in half with its overall radiator. Naturally, this led to an increased heating of the power supply elements and, as a consequence, an increase in the rotational speed of its fan. Firstly, this is extra noise, and secondly, the reduction of the service life of the power supply elements is not good.

In order to reduce heat generation inside the case and more efficiently cool the power supply, we decided to move it outside the case.

That is what we need aluminum slats. For our case, the length of the first was 500 mm, the second - 350 mm.

On one side of the rails, you must drill two small holes.

And on the other hand - stick a couple of strips of double-sided tape. Scotch tape will protect your power supply from scratches, and will also absorb vibrations and chatter.

Next to install the rails need a little hacksaw and file. Unfortunately, we cannot give exact dimensions, since the dimensions of the slats and the shape of the body may be different, but the result should be the same as in the picture. The width of the cut hole should be such that the rails laid through it with the flat side come as close as possible to the side walls of the body.

On one of the 5.25 "compartments (we got it second from the top), we drill 2 small holes.

Holes are drilled at the appropriate height and on the side of the chassis.

Using small screws, fasten both slats, threading them through the hole we sawed earlier. The short rail is screwed to the side wall, and the longer rail is fastened to the 5.25 ”compartment.

Everything, on it it is possible to finish completion. It remains only to collect the entire system. But now it has become a little more difficult to do.

Now you have to build the system like this. First, install all the "insides", and then the power supply. The wires from the power supply must be collected in a bundle and stretched through the hole. While holding the power supply with your hand, gradually feed it forward and make sure that the wires do not catch on the cooler or some other element. Much easier to do this operation together.

When all the wires from the power supply unit are laid inside the case, it can be carefully placed in the built-in slide and moved close to the back wall of the case (for reliability, you can fix it with standard screws, but most likely you will have to make new holes for this). We recommend turning the power supply unit up with the fan so that it does not immediately draw in the warm air blown out of the case.

Here's how the updated case looks from the side. You can use the mesh mentioned at the beginning of the article to refine the front panel. You can give it the desired shape and size thanks to a file, a hacksaw and pliers. You can put it on glue or tape.

The body looks pretty nice. Let's see how much better the cooling inside it has become.

We decided not only to test the cooling in the case before and after modding, but also to compare the results with those of one of the most effective in terms of cooling of the cases - AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T. True and the price of such a body is much higher than the price of CHENBRO Xpider II.

Look at the results.

As you can see, the manipulations we have done have allowed us to improve the performance of absolutely all the criteria. It should be noted that the finalized CHENBRO Xpider II approached AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T by one big confident step, although it did not catch up with it.

findings

The body of CHENBRO Xpider II and in the basic version is a very good product, especially considering its low cost, and after a little refinement it also shows excellent results on cooling components. From this it should be concluded that almost any, even the cheapest case can be forced to cool the system well enough. Well, there is nothing to say about the appearance - modding gives you absolute and unlimited power over changing any detail. Paint, paste, cut, and you will definitely find exactly that unique style in which you would like to see your favorite computer. Regarding our experience, we can safely say that, even with a minimum of designer imagination, we had a very beautiful and unusual system unit.

The positive effects of moddinsha:

  • excellent cooling of the power supply;
  • original appearance;
  • reduction of noise and vibrations;
  • conditionally free operation;
  • improved ventilation inside the enclosure.

Negative features:

  • increase the external dimensions of the system unit;
  • requires caution and skills.

Air leakage During the inspection, the station crew identified its source. It turned out to be a hole in the domestic compartment of the Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft. During the repair, the Russian cosmonauts closed the hole with a gasket soaked in a special sealant.
Initially it was reported that a hole in the hull of the ship was formed as a result of a micrometeorite hit. But after the photos were published on the Internet, some experts and spacebloggers noted that next to it are visible traces, very similar to those that could have left the drill.

Hole in the household compartment of Soyuz MS-09 before and after sealing

On September 3, the RIA Novosti website, citing an anonymous source, said that the depressurization was due to a manufacturing defect. The employee of RSC Energia, who accidentally drilled the housing of the household compartment and, realizing the mistake, sealed it with special glue is guilty in it. As a result, it was not detected during a space test for leaks before launching and did not make itself felt in the first two months of orbital flight.

Initially, it seemed that this news is nothing more than someone's stupid joke. Of course, in recent years, the Russian space program has experienced a number of very painful setbacks associated with the negligence of workers and the general decline in industrial culture. But in this case we are talking about the Soyuz ship with the crew. It seems absolutely incredible that someone from the experts who prepared the ship really accidentally drilled the ship's hull, did not tell anyone about it and sealed the hole, relying on "maybe."

But after a few hours, Dmitry Rogozin confirmed that the version with the impact of a micrometeorite was recognized as untenable by the experts and the hole was caused by the impact from inside the ship. The head of Roscosmos left the following comment about the investigation:

“One can say that the impact was an unsure hand ... it was just some kind of technological error of a specialist, the impact was a hand, there is a slip of the drill on the surface ... But there is another version that we do not dismiss: intentional impact in space” .

Rogozin also added that finding the culprit for air leaks is a matter of honor for RSC Energia. According to him, it remains to be established, it is a question of marriage or “premeditated actions”. Responsible for the incident will determine the commission.

Whatever the investigation ends, one thing is for sure - this surrealistic story will certainly cause a very significant reputational damage to the industry. It will take a long time for the Russian space program to wash this stain off its reputation.

Modding ?? this is not the end result
   and the process of achieving it.

aver, to talk about what modding, those who are at least a little familiar with computers, the occupation is completely useless. Originally conceived as a hobby of computer enthusiasts, modding has long ceased to be the exclusive business of the Kulibins and has become a whole industry. Now you can’t count how many companies specialize in the production of modding accessories. And what only today you will not meet in the market ?? here, specialized enclosures, from fully transparent (such as aquariums) to window-housings, and coolers with various lighting, and neon lamps, and reobasa, and control panels, and braids for cables, and grills for fans, and phosphors ...

In the classic sense of modding ?? This is any independent modification of a computer or even a device connected to it. But, of course, first of all modding ?? This is a modification of the PC system unit. When from a boring, everyday PC case create a masterpiece unique in terms of design ?? this is real modding. You can, of course, buy a ready-made modding case, but ... is it so unaesthetic and even gone ?? buy in the finished form that, by definition, you need to do yourself.

So, with this article we open a whole cycle of illustrated articles on the practical basics of modding. We will go through all the stages together and study the basic methods of modifying the computer case ?? from cutting holes and windows in the housing to painting it and installing the backlight.

  Lesson 1. We cut through the window and the hole for the fan in the case

required tools:

  • marker;
  • grille for the fan;
  • dremel;
  • fiberglass-reinforced cutting disc for Dremel (4 pcs.);
  • an alumina grinding stone (nozzle for Dremel);
  • drill with a diameter of 3 mm;
  • protective glasses.

  Body preparation

Before you begin cutting curly body, we strongly recommend to practice on some old body (which is not a pity) or just on a piece of sheet metal. In our case, we chose old cases for modding (by the way, those found in the garbage dump), deciding to embody all our imagination in them and turn the old junk into a new stylish case.

It is worth noting that for modding you can use any enclosure, but it is better that the thickness of the enclosure wall is not too small. As a rule, the thickness of the body walls is from 0.8 to 1.5 mm, but if it is smaller, then it is better to look for another body. In addition, try to use for modding the body with smooth side walls, because otherwise you will have problems with painting the body.

Initially, the casing had only one footprint for an 80-mm fan in the bottom of the front panel. Of course, this is clearly not enough for a modern, powerful PC (especially since our case is rather thin). Therefore, our modding will have a practical purpose? creation of an effective heat removal system.

So, we will cut three holes for the 120-millimeter fans (these holes are called bloukholy) and the side window, which will subsequently be closed from the inside with tinted plexiglass. One 120-mm fan will be installed under the top panel of the case and will work to blow hot air out of the PC case, the second fan will be located on the side panel and will work to blow cold air into the system unit. The third fan, which will also suck in cold air inside the system unit, will be installed on the front panel. The side window will have the shape of two composite rectangles with rounded corners.

It is necessary to mark the hole for the fan in the upper case cover without disassembling the case entirely and without removing the power supply unit and the optical drive from it, so that later the fan installation would not be obstructed by either the power supply unit or the optical drive. If we are talking about the side wall of the case, the fan should be positioned so that it does not touch the video card, and the center of the hole is best placed at the bottom left. In our case, this side fan will work to blow cold air into the PC case.

It is best to mark the hole for the fan using a grill for the fan (Fig. 1), also called a grill. Use a marker to apply a circle under the fan along the contour of the grill, as shown in fig. 2

Similarly, we apply the contour of the future hole, as well as the contour of the future window on the side wall of the housing (Fig. 3).

When marking the window, do not make the rounds too small, otherwise they will be difficult to cut. It is also not necessary to make the window too large, because, firstly, the casing will lose strength, and secondly, it is necessary to provide a place for fixing the backlight lamps above and below. This remark applies to the layout of the hole for the fan ?? leave space at the bottom of the housing to install the backlight. When marking windows and openings for the fan on the side surface of the housing, it is recommended to retreat from the edges of the housing by at least 5 cm.

After that, the body can be completely disassembled by removing all the stuffing from it and separating the side walls, the front panel and the top cover (Fig. 4). Then you can proceed to the most important stage ?? to cutting holes and side window.

  Dremel and nozzles

So, at the first lesson we will get acquainted with the main universal tool for modding ?? Dremel (Dremel). The device is not cheap, but, unfortunately, there is simply nothing to replace it with, and if there is a desire to engage in modding, you will have to fork out. But believe me, Dremel ?? it is truly a universal tool in every respect, and it is worth the money spent.

In principle, a whole class of tools of similar functionality, produced by various companies, is not quite correctly called Dremel. However, only one Dremel can be produced by Dremel itself (www.dremel.com). Dremel ?? This is a miniature drill, but with a significantly higher rotational speed. Actually, the rotation speed ?? This is the main characteristic of Dremel, which distinguishes it from similar tools. Other important parameters are the weight and size of the Dremel. Dremel, unlike a perforator, which is held with two hands, must be such that it can be held with two fingers at the base just as you hold a fountain pen. For our work, it is important that the maximum rotational speed be at least 30,000 rpm. By Dremel, a whole arsenal of various nozzles is produced (more than 150), which makes it a truly universal tool.

There are various modifications of Dremel, for example, Dremel Professional, Dremel MultiPro, wireless Dremel MultiPro. These devices differ in their functionality and cost, and for the purposes of computer modding, we recommend using the Dremel MultiPro model. The fact is that the model Dremel Professional, which is much more expensive, the mass of unnecessary "bells and whistles" that we do not need, and the wireless model ?? insufficient rotational speed. In the Dremel MultiPro model, the rotational speed varies from 5,000 to 33,000 rpm, which is quite enough for our purposes.

Dremel is sold with a set of all kinds of nozzles, but the kit does not include all the necessary nozzles. For our purposes, we will also need a fiberglass-reinforced cutting disc, type 426 or 456 (not included in the standard package). So you should immediately take care of their purchase. Reinforced fiberglass cutting discs (Fig. 6) are designed directly for cutting metals.

  Cutting the holes for the fan

So, fixing the cutting wheel in the mandrel 402 (included in the delivery kit of the Dremel), install it in the Dremel cartridge. The rotation speed should be maximum. Take the dremel in your hand as shown in fig. 7. It is necessary to cut along the inside of the circumscribed circle so that the border of the circle remains visible. Cutting is carried out only by the edge of the circle, so in no case can you put effort in a direction coaxially to the dremel.

Cutting the body is absolutely necessary without any effort. Cutting occurs only at the expense of the speed of rotation of the circle. Dremel movement during cutting should be like fine strokes. Note that your brush should move while cutting, but not your hand. Dremel must be moved in such a way that the resulting sheaf of sparks would be directed against the forward movement of the cutting wheel.

The circle under the 120mm fan is cut in about 20 min. And finally, I would like to warn you immediately: do not forget to wear safety glasses during all work on cutting metal.

Cutting a hole with a Dremel is shown in fig. 8, 9 and 10.

   circle

   on each stroke a cutting wheel is held
   several times before the cut-through

After cutting the hole, the resulting circle is, as a rule, far from ideal (see Fig. 10). Indeed, it is not so easy to cut the perfect circle, especially if there is not enough practice.

Therefore, the main thing is that in the process of cutting the circumference marked with a marker remains uncased. At the next stage, using the same cutting wheel, it is necessary to more carefully process the edges of the circle. This is done by light movements of the outer edge of the cutting wheel, as shown in fig. 11. After this treatment, the edges of the circle become quite bearable (Fig. 12).

And finally, at the last stage, it is required to bring the circle to an ideal state. To do this, we need to use an alumina grinding stone attachment (Fig. 13). Dremel must be held with two fingers so that its axis is perpendicular to the surface of the body (Fig. 14).

Fig. 13. Alumina nozzle for grinding

After the circle for the fan is cut and ground, you need to attach a grill to it and mark four holes for screws, with the help of which the fan and the grill will be attached to the body. The holes for the screws are drilled using a Dremel or a small drill with a 3.2 mm drill. When drilling, set the minimum speed of rotation of the Dremel (Fig. 15).

   and Dremel or ordinary drill are drilled holes for screws for mounting the fan

  Cut a hole in the body

So, after the holes are ready, you can start cutting the window in the case. However, most likely, after cutting the first window, you will have to replace the cutting disc with a new one. For example, in order to cut two holes for the fans and the side window, we had to change four cutting wheels. Worn cutting wheels are shown in fig. sixteen.

Fig. 16. Worn cutting wheels in comparison with the new circle

Cutting techniques in this case are the same as when cutting a hole, with one exception. Dremel translational movement is carried out not with the hand, but with the entire hand, which allows cutting in a straight line (Fig. 17). Rounded corners are cut by straight line segments, which are then processed (Fig. 18).

After cutting the window, it is necessary to process the edges with a grinding stone made of aluminum oxide (Fig. 19).

   using aluminum oxide nozzle

  Cutting through the seat for the fan in the rear and front walls of the case

So, after cutting the hole for the 120-mm fan and the windows in the case, we must cut a hole in the front wall of the case to install the fan. Our case is not designed to install a 120-mm fan on the front panel and has a seat for installing an 80-mm fan with a characteristic protrusion. Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to cut off this protrusion (fig. 20) so that the grill can be fixed on the face of the chassis (fig. 21).

So, all the holes are cut, and you can proceed to the next stage ?? for stripping, grinding and body painting. This is what we will do in the next lesson.

I think I know why holes were drilled in the body of the Soyuz spacecraft. I'll try to explain.

“Everyone was almost crazy crazy -
  Even who was mad,
  And then the head doctor Margulis

(VS Vysotsky “Letter to the editors of the television

Ten engineering forces

During the short service on the surface ship, our team got bored. No, not because there were few cases. Does it happen that there are few cases in the service? Usually it does not happen, but it happened with us that there is little to do. For we were students, temporarily "quartered" on the ship, and therefore a few left to themselves.

Is it boring Then we go to you! And I went. I went straight to the commander of the ship, bypassing all obstacles and despite all the established rules of subordination:

- Comrade commander, reporting! On your ship are 10 engineering forces in the face of students of such a university. Ready to do any feasible engineering task!

The face of the commander, who had seen a lot of things in his lifetime, was hardened, but in order for a “sailor” to break in like this, this is too much, and so, the touched face relaxed. Pause. Then:

- Inspect the ship's television network. A television cable from the main antenna was laid in all cabins of officers and midshipmen. Televisions have not worked for anyone for a long time.
  - There is! Thanks for the task. Allow me to go?
  - welcome.

Ten people will not climb through either one by one or all together into the cable channels that are on the ship, if this is not a very small “engineer”. I choose the most puny, if I may say so, in order to help him I attach the most technically competent. The rest will connect as needed. Started!

Harsh naval reality

Inside the cable channels and the "skerries" where the cables are laid are not at all as cool as it seemed at first. Not only “dark and scary”, but there are “inhabitants” different, such as cockroaches and not only ... But let's not talk about the difficulties that awaited the “ten engineering forces” who were not used to the harsh reality of the military fleet. In the end, difficulties exist to overcome them.

It turned out that the wiring was cut out in places in pieces, about one and a half to two meters long. Cut only the wires of the television system. The rest of the wires, cables, etc. are completely untouched.

Sat down to think, why? Thought, thought, and did not think of anything. Oh, we engineers! Fact discovered, and the cause was not found. Well, you have to shame and report as is.

So, they say, and so, everything is bad

- Comrade commander, allow me to report? - I rush in to the commander, having previously lined up for the evening report. they still look at me, what is he doing here, but the training, tact and discipline in the fleet are amazing - everyone is silent, although they see something absurd.
  - Well, what did you find?
  - So, they say, and so. Pieces carved. About a certain size each. The cut pieces were found somewhere around twenty, but perhaps they missed something. No system in where the pieces were cut, no. Everywhere cut out. The remaining cables are in perfect order, at least not visually visible damage.
  - Cut out ?!
  - Yes sir. Cut out. By humans. Element and others have nothing to do with it.
  - What for?!
  - It was here that we could not even think of all the ten men. Apparently, we are not yet fit to be called "ten engineering forces." Alas.

Eureka!

Cap thought. I thought not for long. Without chasing me away, I could have summoned the senior midshipman. He quickly arrived.

- In the cabin such a do an inspection. Right now. And immediately report back. I am interested in a piece of television cable, about one and a half to two meters long. And look around the cable if you find it.
  - There is! - senior midshipman out.

I am silent. The commander explained (many will be surprised that the commander of a military warship explains to a student trainee there, but in those distant Soviet times, the commanding fathers found time and opportunity to work with personnel and even with novice officers who were just and still only future officers explained what they themselves knew).

- I sent a midshipman to the cabin, which is temporarily not occupied by anyone. The ship is under repair, a number of officers transferred to other ships. Therefore, the ship has completely free cabins, which in fact is a rarity for the fleet.
  - I understand you. Allow me to go?
  - Wait…

We are waiting, sir ... The senior midshipman returns. In the hands of a piece of television cable.

- Found. Here it is.
  - Where did he go?
  - Nowhere. But there is a small through hole in the casing below the porthole. Probably, the cable was previously passed into this hole.
  - Thank you, free!

The elder midshipman went out.

- Do you understand? - question to me.
  - No, no.
  - A piece of cable was intended to be connected to the TV set in the cabin, instead of the standard cable, the one that comes from the central antenna of the ship.
  - What's the point? After all, the signal from the central antenna is much stronger and more reliable? - I demonstrate this, like what I understand in radio engineering, the future engineer, after all.
  - And the point is that when the ship enters a foreign port, the signal from the central antenna of the ship stops, the antenna turns off. These are the rules! - then there was an iron curtain, it was impossible to watch "not our" television.
  - It got it! - I answer.
  - How many, you say, was cut pieces of cable?
  “About twenty,” I repeat my initial report.
  - Here, and the cabin, where the TVs are installed, is also about twenty. All clear. Next, we'll figure it out. Thanks for the work you've done. Wait for new challenges.

This is how we, without knowing it, “laid” a bunch of “innocent people”! It turned out bad ...

Why make holes in the case?

And the holes made in the hull of a warship, and here? Appeal to the cap before leaving:

- Allow me to contact?
  - Come on, - the commander slowly got used to our “why” and “why”.
  - And how did you guess that the cables in the cabin are used for unauthorized watching TV? After all, you, for sure, assumed in advance the answer of the senior midshipman at the moment when you assigned him the task?
  - Yes, you are right, I assumed.
  - But this is not obvious?
  “It’s not obvious if you don’t know the rest of the information,” the commander answered. - And I have more information.
  - I wonder if we can know her?
  - Yes of course. In the past few months, the ship has never been able to pass the leak test, - dear reader, what is this not depressurization of the “Union” to you ?!
  - What for?
- What do you mean why? Poor studied, you can see! A surface ship can also be completely sealed, like a submarine, when performing certain tasks. So, I never managed to achieve complete tightness, the air was bleed somewhere. Now I understand where. Through these holes in the board, made in cabins.
  - And why do we still need to make these holes, if you can just open the porthole and receive a TV signal through it?
  - And you don't know that! Portholes cannot be opened in a foreign port. The sailors open them, apparently for a few minutes, dragging the cable through the hole in the board, hooking the cable to the outside, say, a regular fork for eating food (we also do not have enough forks from time to time, we sinned for the sailors!). And here you are, a new antenna that receives forbidden channels in foreign ports!
  - Got it! Allow me to go? ..

Are there any “holeless” space technologies?

Drawing an analogy with what is written above, it can be assumed that a hole in the hermetic housing of the Soyuz spacecraft is needed to receive or to transmit “prohibited content”. What can be forbidden to astronauts aboard the Soyuz? This, of course, I do not know and can not even imagine ...

Well, or, for example, you throw a home-made antenna through a hole in the Soyuz case, connect an underground radio to it and further, as in our spy films or in films about military exercises:

- Blesna, Blesna, I - Token, "Sunset"! (I have for First Notice of Special Importance!) How did you understand me? Reception!

As an option:
  - Eustace Alex. Meet the Toy on time!

Etc. Options - countless!

Of course, if you think about it, why even drill holes in the housing for this? Hasn’t the new “innovative dummy-free space technologies” of the transfer of (forbidden) content yet?

Apparently, such technologies have not yet appeared. So we are drilling, probably, to receive / receive unauthorized information. And for what else? Is it just that in order to watch a television program about the cannibals of the Mumba Yumba tribe, some Burkino Africano while flying over this country that is not yet open to anybody? ..
