In the practice of a family doctor, insect bites are almost the most frequent treatment in the summer. Fortunately, most of the bites are unpleasant, but safe. However, there are also bites of poisonous insects. The bite of an unknown insect can be followed by shock, illness, and even death. So, what do insect bites look like on human skin?

  • Mosquito bites, how harmless are they? Not at all harmless! The mosquito can infect with malaria, West Nile fever, Dengue fever and even yellow fever.
      The mosquito bite site is manifested by itching, redness, swelling (photo 2) West Nile Fever, a disease transmitted by mosquitoes. She can become infected in the city, especially if you visit the basements. Every year in Russia there are cases of diseases associated with mosquitoes. Symptoms appear after 2-14 days.
  • How does the bed bug bite?
      When it bites a bug, it leaves many painless spots on a person’s skin on a pink background (photo 3)
      The reaction to the bite may appear after 24 hours - intense itching and inflammation. Sometimes you have to seek medical help. Although it is believed that bed bugs are harmless insects and do not tolerate any diseases, experiments have shown transmission with the usual bed bug of Chagas disease. See 10

In the spring and summer, the life of insects is activated. In most cases, their coexistence with a person is not considered bad. However, it is necessary to distinguish between completely harmless individuals and those that may be hazardous to human health. Today, science is aware of the existence of more than 5 million insect species. Beetles and lepidoptera, which include beetles and butterflies, as well as hymenoptera - ants, wasps, mosquitoes and bees, are considered to be the most common on the globe. It is the insects from the order of Hymenoptera that are most often responsible for the appearance on the human body of tumors, redness and swelling, which are the result of their bites.

Are insect bites dangerous?

Many believe that the only thing that can be remembered by an insect bite is a tumor. However, reality speaks of something completely different: the mortality from the bites of Hymenoptera is more than 3 times higher than the mortality from the bites of venomous snakes. The reason for these indicators is that 80% of the world's population is allergic to proteins that enter the human body along with saliva or hymenoptera.

What else can be dangerous insect bites? First, these creatures are often carriers of various microorganisms that can cause a bitter disease in a bitten person, such as typhus, West Nile fever and leishmaniasis, sleeping sickness and dysentery, Lyme disease and encephalitis. This is not a complete list of diseases that can be transmitted by blood-sucking insects, which include fleas, lice, mosquitoes and mosquitoes.

Signs of complications

The natural reaction of the human body to an insect bite is swelling and redness of the skin. Approximately 80% of bitten people feel itching, burning, or even pain at the point of penetration of poison or saliva into the body. In 45% of cases, allergy to insect bites can develop, which manifests itself with the following symptoms:

  • redness and itching of the skin far from the site of the bite;
  • rash on the body, urticaria;
  • dizziness;
  • confusion;
  • difficulty breathing;
  • swelling of the soft tissues of the nose, throat and mouth;
  • loss of consciousness;
  • feverish conditions;
  • increase in body temperature to subfebrile indicators;
  • chest pain or pressure.

The appearance of any of the above symptoms should be a signal to immediately contact emergency medical care, because with further exacerbation of the symptomatic manifestations of an allergic reaction in a person, anaphylactic shock can occur.

In addition, a seemingly normal tumor after an insect bite can develop into purulent inflammation of the subcutaneous fatty tissue, to prevent which it is sufficient to treat the wound with a disinfectant.

How to treat insect bites

At home, there are several fairly effective ways and means to quickly and effectively remove the tumor from an insect bite. Before you begin treatment, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the surface of the skin around the wound with ordinary soap and warm water. This will remove the remaining on the body or inside the chitinous particles of the insect itself, as well as the remnants of the injected saliva or poison. Remember: never comb your bite, even if itching is unbearable!

With insect bites, the treatment is to eliminate the painful symptoms: itching, burning, and swelling. You can do this with the use of external medicines, with the help of oral medication and traditional methods. Consider each technique in more detail.

External remedies for insect bites

With a slight swelling and weak redness, it is enough to attach a piece of ice to the bite, and in other cases it is necessary to use ointments, creams or gels after insect bites. Before choosing a particular dosage form, you need to understand how they differ from each other. The composition of almost all antihistamine or anti-inflammatory ointments, which are used to eliminate the symptoms after an insect bite, includes the same active ingredients. The only difference is in how quickly the agent is absorbed into the skin. Ointment is absorbed the slowest, cream is slightly faster, and gels are absorbed in just a couple of minutes.

With a moderate degree of hyperemia and edema, severe itching, antihistamines should be used that are dispensed without a doctor's prescription. With their help, you can quickly get rid of these symptoms. Antihistamine ointment from insect bites should be applied directly to the wound. The situation is somewhat different with ointments and gels for itching, which include menthol. They need to be applied only on the skin around the wound. Such remedies do not cure insect bites, swelling and itching, they only have a distracting effect.

The most popular are the following external medicines:

  • gel "Fenistil";
  • psilo Balsam Gel;
  • cream or ointment "Bepanten";
  • cream or ointment "Afloderm";
  • lotion "Calamine";
  • cream "Elidel".

Insect bites. Treatment with pills

Gels and ointments may not always be sufficiently effective. If there are multiple insect bites on the body, external treatment can be supplemented by taking oral medications, which include the steroid preparations Dimedrol, Benadril and others. In addition, antimicrobial tablets should be used for inflammation of the bite spots. Acute reactions suggest the use of injections of the drug "Epinephrine".

Traditional methods of treating insect bites

Allergy to insect bites, in addition to the use of pharmaceutical preparations, can be eliminated by folk remedies. Plantain, elder, dandelion, veronica officinalis, and many others are considered the most famous and effective plants to help relieve swelling, itching and inflammation. In addition, over the past two decades, food products such as soda and acetic acid have been used quite often to eliminate the symptoms of hymenoptera allergies.

Use of folk remedies should be used carefully, as many of them are allergens themselves, which can worsen the condition of the already affected skin. To protect the victim from complications, assisting with insect bites using traditional methods, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the recipes for the preparation of healing compositions and the rules for their use.

We treat garlic

Garlic is one of the most affordable remedies for redness and swelling, which was the result of damage to the skin by the tiny jaws or the stings of winged inhabitants of nature. The first thing that an insect bite stands out is a tumor (photo above). You can get rid of it with the help of water infusion of garlic. To make it, it is necessary to grind on a fine grater or skip a pair of garlic heads through a press and pour the resulting mass with a glass of boiled cooled water. Infusion moistened with a sterile bandage or piece of cloth and applied to the bite site. This tool will benefit in the treatment of bites of blood-sucking insects: mosquitoes, gadflies and blackflies.

In addition to the infusion, you can use and gruel from one clove of garlic, putting it on the bandage to the skin. This remedy is more effective for bites of stinging insects - wasps and bees. When the suppuration appears in the wound, you can mix a mass of garlic with honey in equal proportions. It should be recalled that this method requires careful use of people with sensitive skin, as garlic juice can cause serious burns.

Cabbage as a remedy for insect bites

The most effective way to reduce the tumor from the bite of insects in the people consider the leaves of cabbage. Apply them as follows: take a thin part of the sheet and immerse it in hot water for a few seconds to soften it a little. After that, apply it to the area of skin exposed to insects, cover the top with a film and fix with a cloth. This compress will allow in just one night to get rid of a strong tumor and pain from the bite of stinging insects.

The cabbage ointment from insect bites with suppuration has a good effect. For its preparation you will need a quarter of a head of cabbage (fresh), a bunch of parsley and about 50 g of pork interior fat. Cabbage should be crushed to a state of mashed potatoes, chopped parsley and squeeze juice out of it. Mix the ingredients with fat, mix well. Keep this tool better in the refrigerator. Apply the ointment twice a day to an insect bite, the tumor will subside in about a day, and the itching or pain will go even faster.

Soda and vinegar

Bites of blood-sucking insects that are disturbed by severe itching can be cured with a paste of baking soda. In order to prepare a remedy, it is necessary to dilute the soda with a small amount of water so that a sufficiently thick mass is obtained from which a cake can be formed. Paste impose directly on the disturbing bite of an insect, fixing it with a piece of bandage and medical plaster. In addition, washing with water and soda (1 tsp. Per glass of water) is useful. This method is more suitable for cases where the bites are multiple, and there is no possibility to apply a paste of soda on a large surface of the skin.

3% vinegar, better than apple vinegar, is used as an external medicinal product. A bandage moistened with it or a clean cloth is applied to the redness and swelling caused by the bite of blood-sucking insects for 20-30 minutes. During the use of this tool it is necessary to ensure that the vinegar does not get into the hair, as this can cause a burn. It is also unacceptable to use undiluted vinegar or essence.

Spices

If an insect bite appeared on the body, the tumor can be removed with the help of herbs that any hostess can find. Most often, basil and mint are used for these purposes. Basil decoction (2 tablespoons of dried grass boil for 5 minutes in 0.5 liters of water, cool) drink 1/2 cup 3 times a day with severe itching, which often threatens with strong hair. Mint is used both in fresh form, applying the juice of crushed leaves to the bitten place, and in the form of poultices: tightly pinch a large pinch of fresh grass into gauze and immerse it in boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove and cool slightly. Applying a gauze bag with mint to the bite should be at least 3 times a day for 20-30 minutes. A decoction of this herb can be used to rub the skin to reduce itching and swelling.

Soaps and other hygiene products

Often, such remedies as household dark soap and toothpaste are used as a healing remedy to eliminate itching, redness and swelling. To reduce the tumor, it is enough to soak the affected skin areas twice a day, and with strong itching, folk healers recommend applying a small amount of mint toothpaste to the bites.

In conclusion, I would like to remind you that insect bites that cause severe discomfort (pain, itching, swelling or suppuration) should be shown to a doctor, as these symptoms may indicate allergies or wound infections.

With the arrival of spring, insects wake up from hibernation: bees, midges, mosquitoes. Separate insect species bite humans for various reasons. Some are protected in this way, others feed on blood in order to survive. Often, an insect bite in a person develops swelling of the legs of varying severity. Reducing the development of puffiness on both legs, it is necessary to take the necessary measures in a timely manner.

Insects with a sting bite to defend themselves or to defend food. Food is often a piece of melon, other sweet fruits. Waving hands with wasps and bees is taken for attack. Through the sting insects inject poison, causing a pronounced effect on the body, which is:

  • severe pain in the affected area;
  • burning local edema;
  • increase in body temperature;
  • convulsions;
  • fainting;
  • in rare cases leads to anaphylactic shock.

The first time after the bite is shown to treat the wound. Treatment will help make the course of the disease easier. Methods taken in the first minutes after the bite will have a huge impact on the course of the disease, facilitate treatment.

Initially, when stinging a bee is required to cover the insect. Poison injected by a bee has a peculiar smell. Other stinging insects are able to feel it, there is a threat of multiple attacks.

The bee sting cannot be pulled out, the object is left in the leg for five minutes, the release of the poisonous substance continues. The sting is removed smoothly, the rapid stretching leads to the spread of insect venom.

What to do when a bee crawls from the leg over the body

In case the bee crawled over the body, take actions:

The listed actions are performed with single insect bites. When a large number of bees are attacked or multiple bites, you need to go to a traumatic center or expect medical help. Similarly, if the bite is made by one bee in the cervical region and head.

In the case of a properly rendered first aid, treatment consists in receiving anti-allergy products for five calendar days. Preparations prescribed by a doctor. A huge swelling from bee sting that has spread to both legs can be removed using the following methods:

  • by applying cold ice;
  • when applying lotions that include substances against inflammation;
  • smearing balms, creams and ointments for stinging insects.

What drugs to use in the swelling of the legs after an insect bite

Requires nonsteroidal balsamic substances designed to relieve inflammation. For example, Butadion applied to both legs to reduce pain, Menovazin is used for local anesthetic effects.

Swelling of the feet from the bites of bloodsucking insects

With the onset of warm days, mosquitoes and midges wake up. From insects is not easy to hide in the spring and summer, even in the house.

The effects of mosquitoes and midges bites are minor and harmless when compared with the defeat of the sting of a bee, wasp, hornet, and other hymenoptera. If you do not scratch the damaged area, the mosquito bites stop disturbing the person after a short time. However, every second mother hardly endures the torment of small children, forced to observe how children's skin becomes covered with red spots, swelling and swelling of both legs, and the swollen place remains the same during a number of days.

In an adult, there are edemas of the feet from the bite of midges, located close to large vessels, where a burning sensation is felt more strongly. However, this often causes swelling and swelling of both legs. Reduce the burning sensation, reduce swelling of the legs after a bite will help gadgets using soda, alcohol with boron, calendula tincture. It does not hurt the lubrication of the cream, which has mint, menthol, a variety of ointments from the bite of a blood-sucking insect. After the cessation of the impact of a poisonous substance on the damaged area, the leg edema quickly passes, which is facilitated by the additional application of cold ice.

A strong reaction in a person who is not prone to an allergic reaction provokes the bite of an ordinary midge. It can be compared with a bee sting. Redness and itching disperse far, it becomes difficult to determine the place of the bite, the leg is able to double in size. The reason for the irritation lies in the peculiarities of nutrition: a shallow midge that bites through the skin lubricates the surface with its own saliva. The response to saliva causes swelling of the legs, often diverging up and down from the injury site, acquiring a systemic nature.

Treatment of leg edema after a bite of a bloodsucking mosquito or midge begins with applying cold ice and lotions soaked in completely alcoholic tinctures or solutions containing salt in the composition. Often used drugs that prevent allergies, hormone-based ointments that reduce puffiness (Hydrocortisone, Triderm). The total swelling of the legs from the bite of a bee and midge indicates an allergic reaction, is treated accordingly.

What to do when a child bites

The body of the child is susceptible to bites. In the case of a mosquito being bitten by a teenager, exposure to a toxic substance is similar to an adult's reaction. However, young children are capable of manifesting severe reactions.

In case, if it was impossible to prevent sting, it is required to provide standard first aid:

The place of impact with an insect sting, remaining after edema, in a child must be protected from scratching by applying a special rope. It is recommended to apply anesthetic compresses or an anti-inflammatory agent under it. For older children, explain the need to keep the affected area from scratching. Burning relieve ointment from insect bites. If the bees have bitten a tiny baby, it is recommended to go to the doctor.

Perhaps an unpredictable response to a toxic substance sting bee, but in infants such reactions can cause a toxic substance in the saliva of midges and midges. It is recommended to treat such edemas of the feet in children with caution, especially in an infant. Alcohol lotion kiddies attach is not recommended. It is permissible to apply soda, ice or treat with furatsilina solution.

If the swollen place does not disappear twenty-four hours after being bitten by the affected place, but on the contrary, it grows in size, you should immediately call the doctor at home or emergency medical care. Children from a year of life and older are allowed to lubricate wounds with infusion of brilliant green, eliminate itching, using compresses, preventing the spread of infection throughout the child’s body.

Insect Bite Prevention

Eucalyptus and Valerian flowers are able to keep mosquitoes at a distance. However, going to the mosquito concentration site, it is not advisable to hope for such protection. At home, from the invasion of the insect will be able to protect the special mosquito nets or the famous fumigators.

Camping is often overshadowed by the presence of unwanted "guests." Mosquitoes and midges attack people and children, leaving unpleasant itchy bites. What to do if an insect bit and how to remove the swelling.

  What are dangerous mosquito bites and midges?

The midge bites even stronger than the mosquito. It would seem that a harmless, almost imperceptible insect can bite so that the consequences will have to be eliminated within a few days.

After an insect bite (mosquito or midge), a barely noticeable red trace remains in place, which can grow and itch.

Insect bite discomfort:

  • pain;
  • redness;
  • swelling;
  • pressure increase;
  • allergic reaction (itching, rash, choking).

And if, after a mosquito bite, you can relatively quickly get rid of swelling and itching, then the seeker, harmless at first glance, can bring more problems to the person, because the bug does not pierce the skin when it is bitten, but bites into it, leaving the poison. It causes swelling, severe redness and itching. The wounds heal very slowly.

  How to remove swelling from the bite

Never ignore insect bites; you need to help yourself get rid of swelling and discomfort faster. If edema is present, then it should not be left unattended, because edema can lead to malfunction of the vessels.

How to get rid of edema:

  • with the help of soda compress. To prepare the solution, you need to take a glass of water and dilute half a teaspoon of coarse salt in water;
  • use of menthol supplements: cream, gel, and even menthol toothpaste. This substance cools well the bite site, relieves pain and relieves swelling;
  • applying cold compress. Ideally, apply ice, but in field conditions ice may not be handy, so you need to put something cold on the bite site and keep it for 2 hours. This is the only way to get rid of edema and relieve inflammation.

  What to do immediately after an insect bite to avoid swelling

You felt that you were bitten by a mosquito or noticed redness on the body from the bite of a midge (this insect bites painlessly because it injects anesthetic poison into the wound). A painful bite will become a few hours later, when the poison begins to irritate soft tissues.

What to do:

  • In order to avoid an allergic reaction, the bite site should be treated with any substance with the addition of alcohol. It can be alcohol, iodine, brilliant green, calendula tincture, and even regular vodka (except if the insect has bitten directly into the eyes and mucous membranes).
  • After treatment, a cold compress should be put on the bite site. If it is ice, then you need to wrap it in a towel.
  • Try to relieve swelling and itching with ordinary vinegar (9% strength) or soda solution (dissolve half a teaspoon of powder in a glass of water).
  • If the place is very red and swollen, then you need to take antiallergic medication. This may be "Suprastin", process the bite with a special gel (for example, "Fenistil"), which reduces itching and relieve swelling.
  • If enough time has passed, the measures described above have been taken, but the swelling does not go away; you need to consult a doctor for qualified help.

  How to remove swelling from an insect bite. Folk methods

All methods are good, in folk medicine there are several effective ways to get rid of edema.

Need to use:

  • plantain. Thoroughly knead the fresh leaf in the hands, so that the juice stands out and attach the plantain to the bite site;
  • attach a leaf of fresh mint or dandelion leaves;
  • make onion gruel or cut the head into 2 parts and rub the bite site with the released juice;
  • make this tool: take a spoonful of vegetable oil, add lemon essential oil, literally 5-7 drops, wipe the swelling with this oil.

Insects are the most diverse and numerous category of living beings of our planet. In addition, it is definitely the most enduring, prolific and most adaptable part of the animal world. However, a simple man in the street care little about the evolutionary processes and the ability of insects to survive. The common man is worried about how to avoid meeting the representatives of the cruel micro-world, who are constantly leading the struggle for survival. Indeed, contact with insects occurs according to one of two unpleasant scenarios — either they annoy us and make it difficult to live peacefully, or even worse — they bite mercilessly, and sometimes very painfully.

Why bite us?

On Earth, one cannot find a person who would not have experienced insect bites if he doesn’t live in a completely sterile chamber. We are biting a variety of creatures, bite a lot and with different consequences. The reaction from the bite depends on two key factors: on the one who bit, and also on the individual characteristics of the bitten organism.

If one person is able to endure arbitrarily many cruel mosquito bites, then another can be quite enough for a fatal outcome to be a single bite. The main danger to humans is not the piercing of the skin and the pain that accompanies it, but the substances injected by insects when they bite. And here the most disturbing consequence is the sudden swelling and allergy to insect bites. Representatives of the world of insects are a priori aggressive and voracious.

They attack a person for two reasons:

  • for defensive purposes;
  • for your own saturation.

What insects are dangerous?

The inhabitant of middle latitudes, first of all, should be careful of hymenoptera - wasps, bees, hornets, bumblebees and red ants. All of the above creatures dig into human skin exclusively for self-defense. They are not interested in food, and because they bite mercilessly - it hurts and for sure. The venom they inject, in addition to active proteins, contains all sorts of components that are quite suitable for the role of strong allergens.

When such substances enter the body, the latter reacts with redness, pain, swelling and swelling. Living in a world infested with insects, in order to avoid trouble, you should prepare in advance for unpleasant, but inevitable meetings with bloodsuckers and other lovers to take a break.

You should, in particular, know how to remove swelling from an insect bite to minimize pain and prevent complications.

In addition to pain, swelling and allergies, insect bites threaten infection.

Especially dangerous:

  • malaria mosquitoes (malaria);
  • lice (typhoid, rickettsiosis);
  • mosquitoes (leishmaniasis);
  • african mosquitoes (West Nile encephalitis);
  • tsetse flies (sleeping sickness);
  • simple flies (typhoid, dysentery)
  • fleas (bubonic plague);
  • common mosquitoes (dengue fever, yellow fever);
  • ticks (Lyme disease);
  • the black widow and the brown recluse spiders can provoke death.

What symptoms accompany insect bites?

Usually, any insect bites do not do without consequences - their symptoms are almost the same, only the degree of severity varies. Most bites annoy a person with the following unpleasant manifestations:

  • soreness;
  • swelling, swelling;
  • itching, irritation.

It should be remembered - combing the bitten place, no matter how desirable, can not, otherwise you can carry the infection. The most dangerous reaction to insect bites is allergy. When it, in addition to local manifestations, there is a general reaction of the body - a rash all over the body, respiratory failure, loss of consciousness. In the most severe cases, half an hour after the bite, death can occur. There are mild allergic reactions and acute. A moderate reaction does not require urgent and special events, it is expressed by the following symptoms: pain, rash, itching, swelling, slight swelling, body temperature rises at the site of the bite.

But the acute reaction is much more dangerous and requires emergency medical care, with the following symptoms:

  • heart palpitations;
  • respiratory failure;
  • dizziness;
  • body rash;
  • a sharp drop in blood pressure.

In general, an acute allergic reaction to insect bites is not a frequent phenomenon, but, alas, life-threatening. Ten minutes is enough for the bitten to develop anaphylactic shock, followed by loss of consciousness, and then death.

What to do when bite a bumblebee, bee or hornet?

The bites of these aggressive ones are very painful and are accompanied by severe swelling and swelling. The severity of the condition is determined by the number of bites and individual intolerance to the components of the injected poison. How and how to remove swelling from an insect bite that suddenly stung you? If you are bitten by a stinging insect, immediately pull out the sting and try to gently squeeze the liquid out of the bite.

If the bitten person does not have acute allergy to insect bites, it is enough for him, taking an antihistamine (one tablet), attach a cooled lotion dipped in salmon (to dilute 1: 5) or in ethyl alcohol (dilute to water 1: 3). It is also recommended, after drinking warm tea, to take a horizontal position and lie down for a while. To avoid complications, an antihistamine should be drunk for a couple more days - until the swelling and swelling disappear completely.

A number of doctors are advised to take in vodka (25 g and only for adults!) If you have acute pain, you can take any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, for example, ibuprofen.

It is important to know that individual intolerance can manifest itself over time, and therefore, you should carefully monitor your condition - later you may experience nausea, fever, rash, breathing problems and changes in pressure.

For bites of stinging insects, traditional medicine recommends the following methods:

  • chewed leaf of plantain attach to the bitten place;
  • tie a dandelion leaf (previously crushed) to the bite site;
  • attach and secure parsley leaf;
  • lotion from Veronica herb;
  • decoction of parsley roots - taken orally;
  • drink brew series;
  • attach the juice of mint leaves and others.

But remember - with multiple bites, immediately go to the hospital!

Blood sucking bites

In addition to the threat of infection, mosquito bites bring unpleasant sensations in the form of a long-lasting itch. As a result, bites, especially in the face, may appear disfiguring edema. But if, despite the precautions, you still became a victim of mosquitoes - than to remove the swelling from the bite of insect-bloodsuckers?

There are many effective ways to smooth the unpleasant effects of bites, namely:

  • handle itchy place with a solution of soda drinking;
  • lubricate the bitten place with boric alcohol, calendula spirit tincture or just tomato juice;
  • apply cold lotions;
  • take an antihistamine (if there are many bites);
  • to treat the bite site with Phenystyle or Fucorcinum, which perfectly eliminate the itching from mosquito bites.

Remember! In your travel first aid kit, especially if you are going to the cottage or the nature, an antihistamine must be present.

Traditional medicine advises to deal with mosquito bites as follows:

  • lubricate the bite with sour cream (kefir);
  • attach a leaf of plantains or bird cherry trees;
  • use for treatment of bitten places balm "asterisk".

What to do if you are bitten by a spider?

The bites of some spiders are deadly, and if you suspect misfortune, it is better to immediately call for emergency help. This is especially true for children. After all, if the spider is poisonous, it may require an urgent introduction of an antidote.

In the absence of an ambulance, the following measures should be taken:

  • wash the bite with soap and water;
  • immobilize the affected limb by overlaying the tire;
  • if a limb is bitten, a tourniquet can be applied (strictly following all the rules for applying a tourniquet);
  • attach a cold lotion to the bitten place;
  • drink plenty of toxins;
  • take aspirin or paracetamol.

Bitten tick - what to do?

There is an opinion that you need to drip something odorous on the sucked mite - vegetable oil or cologne. However, this is an erroneous action. A tick, once in an unpleasant situation, begins to defend itself intensively, injecting poison into the body.

Therefore, having found the sucking bloodsucker, proceed as follows:

  • armed with tweezers, carefully, trying not to pull an insect, unscrew it, just as cogs unscrew;
  • inspect the wound for the presence of the tick's proboscis and treat it with alcohol;
  • drink an antihistamine;
  • it is advisable to visit the clinic.

How to avoid bites?

Of course, no one will insure against all bites; however, by following a series of simple but effective rules, one can substantially minimize the risk of being stunned.

So, to avoid unpleasant encounters with stinging and biting insects, it is recommended:

  • do not come close to apiaries;
  • going on nature do not use perfumes with scents of flowers;
  • do not wear bright clothes that may attract bees;
  • do not make sudden movements when approaching insects;
  • be attentive in nature - look where you sit, and regularly inspect yourself for ticks;
  • use, going out into nature, repellents and essential oils, and at home - mosquito nets and ultrasonic traps.
