  1. First, let's deal with the vegetables: carrots and onions need to be peeled, the onion can be finely chopped, and the carrots can be grated. We use the large side.
  2. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, turn on the “Frying” program, and set the time to 7 minutes.
  3. When the oil warms up a little, you can put chopped onions into the bowl of the device, and after a few minutes - carrots. It will give our dish a beautiful color.
  4. Stir our vegetables with a spatula so that they fry evenly. As soon as the onion becomes transparent, the device can be turned off.
  5. Now you need to peel the potatoes, wash them under running water, and then cut them into cubes or strips.
  6. Immediately place the potatoes in the multicooker container with the sautéed vegetables. This way it won’t have time to darken and lose some of its beneficial properties.
  7. Now it's the turn of the meat broth (it needs to be prepared in advance). If you haven’t done this yet, then we advise you to cook the broth in a slow cooker from veal. Take 300 g of lean meat, cook in the “Soup” or “Stew” mode for 1.5 hours. As soon as the water boils, add a whole peeled onion and a few black peppercorns to the meat. We do not add salt to the broth. The finished broth must be strained.
  8. We pour the meat broth over our vegetables, and at this point we can close the lid of the device to set the next cooking mode - this will be the “Soup” program, the cooking time is 40 minutes.
  9. While the potatoes are cooking, there is just a little time to prepare the dough. For this we need flour, salt and an egg.
  10. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl; if there is not enough flour, you can add more to make the dough dense.
  11. 10 minutes before the end of the cooking process, you need to open the lid of the device and use a teaspoon to form dumplings. Just scoop up some dough with a spoon and drop it into our soup. Don't forget to mix all the ingredients.
  12. Add salt and favorite spices.
  13. As soon as the signal sounds, you can turn off the device and open the lid to add a little butter and chopped fresh herbs. If you like garlic, add it along with these ingredients.

Today I decided to make soup with dumplings, which I strongly associate with childhood and holidays in my grandmother’s cozy house. Her soup always turned out rich, smelled aromatic of herbs, and plump and tasty dumplings swam thickly in it:).
To make them tender, the dough should be made not with water, but with egg and kefir (milk or sour cream).

To prepare soup with dumplings in a slow cooker you need:

For the soup:

  • Potatoes – 3 pieces;
  • Chicken or pork meat – 300 grams;
  • Carrot;
  • Vegetable oil;

For the dumplings:

  • Egg;
  • Kefir (milk) – 0.5 cups;
  • Flour - approximately 0.5 cups;
  • Salt;
  • Soda.

Cooking step by step:

This soup can be cooked in chicken or pork broth.
I had some pork bones in the freezer, and they make an excellent broth.
It is better to drain the first water (after boiling) from the broth, so it will be more transparent and the smell will be much more pleasant.

So, boil water with meat separately in a saucepan.
At the same time, make the dressing in the slow cooker.
To do this, finely chop the onions and carrots and fry them in vegetable oil in the “Baking” or “Frying” mode.

Add chopped potatoes, salt, throw in a bay leaf.

By this time our broth was already boiling. We drain the first water with scale, if necessary, rinse the meat and fill it in the multicooker with clean water. Close the lid and select the “Baking” mode for 40 minutes.

Gradually add flour, bringing the dough to the consistency of sour cream. If it is too runny, the dumplings will not hold their shape. At the same time, too much flour will make them rubbery.
We need to find a middle ground.

10 minutes before the timer ends, place a teaspoon of dough into the soup.
Immerse the spoon with the dough in the hot broth for a few seconds and remove it without the dough.
Add green onions or dried herb seasoning to the dumpling soup and let simmer for half an hour.

Keep in mind that this is a root vegetable and it grew in the ground, so you definitely need to rinse it thoroughly with water, then peel off the skin, and then wash it well again, finally getting rid of the dirt. Step 2: Prepare the onion.



Peel the onion and cut into pieces of the size you like best. Do you want it in half rings or in very small cubes?

Pour a little, just a little, vegetable oil suitable for frying into the multicooker bowl. Place chopped onions and carrots in the device, turn on the mode "Frying" and set the timer to 7-9 minutes. Stir the vegetables during cooking and make sure they don't burn. It may take less time than I indicated, so cook carefully.
While the onions and carrots are being fried, there is time to start preparing other vegetables, but if you are not confident in your speed, then it is better to prepare everything in advance.

Step 4: Prepare the potatoes.



Rinse the potatoes thoroughly with water several times, then peel them with a knife and rinse again to remove any remaining soil and dirt. Cut the peeled vegetables into small cubes, but you don’t need to chop them very fine, let the pieces be medium in size.

Step 5: Prepare the greens.



Wash the greens and chop very finely. Instead of fresh herbs, dried herbs are quite suitable, but then they should be added to the soup not at the end, but at the beginning of cooking.

Step 6: Prepare the garlic.


Peel the garlic cloves and chop them in any way convenient for you. That is, you can cut it with a knife, grate it, or use a special press.

Step 7: Prepare the dumpling dough.



All that remains is to prepare the most interesting part, that is, the dumplings. To do this, break a chicken egg into a deep plate, add salt to taste and beat until smooth. Then add wheat flour one tablespoon at a time and knead, breaking up all the clots and lumps. The dumpling dough should be fairly thick, but still scoopable with a spoon. You may need a little more flour than I indicated, it all depends on the ingredients you use.

Step 8: Cook the dumpling soup in a slow cooker.



While preparing the other ingredients, the onions and carrots should have arrived. Turn off the multicooker for now and pour the potatoes into it, and then pour in the chicken broth, salt to taste and add allspice. Close the lid of the device and select the mode "Cooking" or "Soup", set the timer to 40 minutes. And for now, go about your business, leaving the cooking to your miracle helper.
Behind 10-15 minutes Before the end of the set program, open the multicooker lid, but be careful not to get burned by the steam, and add dumplings to the soup. The dough must be placed into the boiling liquid very quickly. To do this, scoop the mixture with one teaspoon and deftly shake the second into the soup. After all the prepared dough is in the broth, add ground black pepper and close the multicooker again.
At the end of the program, all that remains is to add fresh herbs, chopped garlic and a little butter to the soup for taste, and then let the dish stand in the switched off multicooker with the lid closed.
